Plant a Million Trees — 27 July campaigns

YTDS in association with Sankalp Pratishthan and Mahiti Seva Samiti had organized a tree plantation campaign on the Bakori hills. There were huge number of volunteers present on the spot to help plant the trees. The call for volunteer support was done and spread on all YTDS social media channels through which we saw people turning up for the campaign. We planted 400 trees on the hill with the help of 81 volunteers. The saplings were available and even in the rains the volunteers kept planting the trees. Taking cue with this if everybody starts planting trees in and around the city where they see a spot, the city can be a greener place. We thank Sankalp Pratishthan, an NGO that is active in providing school supplies for poor children, and Mahiti Seva Samiti for coming together with us to make this campaign a success.
