Youth Talent Development Society (YTDS), in collaboration with RIA, executed a series of environmental initiatives at Hanuman Tekdi under the #CleanTheHills and #PlantAMillionTrees campaigns. The initiative combined cleanup drives with plantation efforts to restore the ecological balance of the hill landscape and promote long-term sustainability.

The Challenge

Restoring Degraded Hill Ecosystems

Hill areas like Hanuman Tekdi face environmental degradation due to waste accumulation, human activity, and lack of maintenance. This leads to declining biodiversity, reduced ecological value, and poor public engagement. The challenge was to clean, restore, and regenerate the ecosystem while building awareness and participation.
