Focus Area

Dry & Open Land Reforestation

Objective

Long-Term Ecological Restoration

Youth Talent Development Society (YTDS), in collaboration with Worley, conducted a seedball activity drive aimed at promoting environmental restoration through an innovative and scalable approach. The initiative focused on preparing seedballs that can be deployed in dry and inaccessible areas to support natural vegetation growth.

The Challenge

Restoring Vegetation in Difficult Terrains

Many regions face challenges in plantation due to dry soil, lack of water, and inaccessibility. Traditional planting methods are often not feasible in such conditions. The challenge was to adopt an approach that enables vegetation growth in areas where direct plantation is difficult.
